Sometimes a song comes along that’s so simple, yet so compelling that you’re forced to pay attention. I’ve listened to Twin Loss by Zula numerous times and glean something new every time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
New York’s “Skaters” are set to release their debut album “Manhattan” on February 25th. Until then, they’ve released “Deadbolt” as well as a couple others earning them a spot at this year’s SXSW. If you’re going, I’d look them up and see them live.
I’m quite fond of the original “Deadbolt” and the Twin Shadow remix. In fact, it was taking too much time to pick just one to feature. So, I’m providing both. Check out the video below as well.
I follow artists on SoundCloud because I hear something special in their music or their voice. I’ve been following Sivu for a while now, waiting for the right track to hit my ear drums. Then I heard ‘I lost myself’ remixed by Cosmo Sheldrake and I found my gem. I think you’ll like it. Have a listen.
So I just moved from Denver Colorado in the US to the beautiful city of Sydney in Australia. I can’t begin to tell you what a change this is, but I’m excited to experience a new city. I’m not sure I’m ready to lose all of the touring bands that I was spoiled with, but I’ll survive. The first big show planned is Grizzly Bear at the Sydney Opera House. What an amazing venue to see one of my favorite bands.
I’m also excited to finally see RÜFÜS in their home town. I’ve been a fan for a few years now and they’ve been a part of my DJ sets for some time. I absolutely love ‘Paris Collides’ and get excited when I get to play it on big speakers. I found ‘Tonight (Terace remix)’ in my SoundCloud stream today and wasn’t disappointed. Have a listen.
Listen to the latest track from Pat Grossi, aka Active Child. It’s a short and sweet instrumental track. She Cut Me is the first released track of his forthcoming album, Rapor (pronounced Rah – Poor). He also relesed a video (below) and click HERE for tour dates.
