So I did a little research that day and Nialler has a great explanation of the single from New Villager. "Rich Doors’ is one of those weird, shapeshifters that sounds like a tune morphing from one radio station to another. It starts on a breakfast AM show, then onto a dance station before skiffling onto a glitch-hop niche show before stopping by at that weird electro specialist that no-one listens to, a late night cosy vibe and and finally finishing on some funk."
Buy – Amazon Solid Gold (Bodies Of Water) Get Over It If I remember where I find all of this great music, I'll mention it. I forget where I heard Solid Gold the first time, but I think I was doing a search for The Golden Filter, who do a song called Solid Gold, and there they were. What a nice little surprise. Get Over It is a fun song that I've been listening to for a week or so and thought you guys might enjoy it. Solid Gold is a Minneapolis band and Bodies of Water is their debut album. I'd expect big things from these lads. A video to Bible Thumper off the Bodies of Water album is here.

Jeremy Enigk (OK Bear) Mind Idea I'm the exact opposite of most Jeremy Enigk devotees. I'm not a big fan of Sunny Day Real Estate, Enigk's cult band of the 90's. I first heard Jeremy Enigk sing City Tonight and thought he sounded a lot like Daniel Ash from Love and Rockets (I know it sounds crazy). His latest album, OK Bear will be released after much anticipation on May 12, so mark your calendars. If you follow me on Twitter, I'll send you a "tweet" when all of the albums that we talk about release. If I don't forget, I'll put release dates on Facebook and MySpace as well.

Marissa Nadler (Little Hells) Ghost and Lovers I found out about the Marissa Nadler's fourth release from the blog, Test Pilots. Little Hells could be a transition album for Marissa Nadler as she has strayed from her traditional stripped-down concoction of reverbed vocals, a guitar and some percussion. Chris Coady producing the album is the probable culprit. Only those expecting to hear the same-ole same-ole will be disappointed with this album. Each song on Little Hells has the trademark gloom and doom that Marissa Nadler has obviously trademarked. River Of Dirt is another stand-out track from Little Hells.

VOXTROT (Trepanation Party) Free Download – Trepanation Party They boys over at My Old Kentucky Blog turned me on to this free download from Voxtrot. According to the band's website, "sometimes one needs to disappear in order to regroup; situations change and human beings are swept here and there by the marvelous ebb and flow of culture. And so, there can be only this: a return to a love of music". Hopefully Trepanation Party is a sign of amazing music to come, soon. To download the free song, click here.

Eels (Hombre Lobo) Fresh Blood This could be the coolest promo pic for a band that I have ever seen. It's soon to be my desktop background. The new album from EELS won't be available until June 2, so follow me on Twitter and I'll remind you. You can follow EELS too; it's how I found out about this song. Until then, you can listen to Fresh blood by clicking on the link below titled, "listen". Enjoy
