Veckatimest won't release until May 26th but you can listen to "Cheerleader" from the new album, which was leaked not too long ago. This new release is poppier than former albums while retaining the signature Grizzly Bear sound. I think you'll like the entire album. I've heard several tracks and like all of what I've heard. You may have caught them on David Letterman where they played "Two Weeks". Until the new album is released, I recommend listening to "He Hit Me " from the 2007 album, Friend. It's not a song you can dance to, but who really dances anymore anyway?

Emiliana Torrini (Me And Armini) Me And Armini She's like Bjork with broader audience appeal. It's an easy comparison considering both are from Iceland. She's best know for her contribution to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack with "Gollum's Song". Collaborating once again with Dan Carey (co-wrote and co-produced songs for Kylie Minogue") on this new album, you'll hear everything from subtle acoustic guitar to trippy beats and reggae influences. Her voice is dusty, child-like, provocative and classic, each song evoking a different persona. I highly recommend the entire album specifically "Birds " and "Me And Armini ".

Cut Copy (In Ghost Colours) Hearts On Fire Some of you have already heard of Cut Copy. 80's revival music is pretty hot right now and these Australian boys do it better than most. "Hearts On Fire " uses samples from back in the day that put a smile on my face every time. "Lights & Music " has the same affect. It's a hot mess of guitars, synthesizers, loops and somewhat flat vocals that are extremely contagious. Admittedly, these guys are best listened to in small doses.

Elbow (The Seldom Seen Kid) Grounds For Divorce I'm amazed that Elbow isn't more popular than they already are. I don't really listen to lyrics. I consider the voice to be just another instrument. Having said that, I can't help but listen to the lyrics of Guy Garvey as he sings, " There’s a hole in my neighborhood, down which of late I cannot help but fall”. Listen to "Mirrorball " just to get a taste of their range in musical style. Buy – Grounds For Divorce
Yeah Yeah Yeahs (It's Blitz!) Heads Will Roll It's Blitz! is easily the best record Yeah Yeah Yeahs have put out to date. The only thing that could have made it better was more cowbell. Just kidding, I think a little more of Nick Zinner's sweet guitar riffs should have been included. I'm not a purist by any stretch and good job trying new things.
