Hey people, Every time I hear a new track from the recently released album 'Teen Dream' from Beach House, I expect it to be a filler track. And every time I'm floored at how good the track is. Every song on the album is as good as the next. I couldn't honestly pick one that I didn't like. If you've been reading these issues over the past several months, you'll notice that I don't recommend full length albums very often. This may be the third album in almost a year that I would actually buy. Other Lives and Bat For Lashes, who ironically toured together last year, are the other two full-length albums I would recommend you purchase. If you like the artists on the site, make sure you support them by purchasing the tracks and going out to the shows. Beach House is on tour now and will be at the Bluebird Theater in Denver on April 7th. If you're in town, I wouldn't miss it. Have a great week. enjoy – Ryan |

This track has been around in demo form for quite a while now. Here's the remastered version for your listening pleasure. Besides creating great original music, they've been remixing some of the best tracks of 2009 from artists including Empire Of The Sun, Little Boots, O Children, Peter Bjorn & John, and Polly Scattergood. Listen to another track from The Golden Filter HERE. |

I don't know anything about this band except that they're swedish, and from the looks of the picture at left, they're pretty young. Oh, and they're unsigned for now. |

From My Rooftop by Staphan O'Bell
If you like Rufus Wainwright, you'll probably like Staphan O'Bell. He's another great artist from Sweden. At his BandCamp.com website, he's offering up three tracks. You pick the price that you want to pay. |

FREE VIA MATADOR | HERE This track features Caralee McElroy (formerly of Xiu Xiu). Cold Cave blends experimental noise with good old fashioned synth-pop. Quietus got an interview with them which you can read HERE. |

Every Little Thing by One For The Team
Frontman Ian Anderson also runs a Minneapolis-based music blog called 'Minneapolis F*cking Rocks', operates his own label 'Afternoon Records' and he's author of the book 'Here Come The Regulars', about operating a record label on the cheap. I thought I was busy. |

Stuck (Various Productions Remix) by Lauren Pritchard
Put some decent headphones on for this one. The beauty of this track is in the details. Lauren Pritchard is, by all accounts, a country music singer/songwriter. Sometimes you have to wonder how these collaborations come to fruition. It seems like such an odd pairing, but I'm glad it happened because this track is really good. On the flip side of the record is a remix by Guido, but the Various Productions version is the stand out. |

This album came out last year, but I didn't get around to recommending it until now. If you're into girl folk-rock like Theresa Andersson, Alela Diane, Marissa Nadler, Jessica Lea Mayfield etc., you'll probably find room for another great female vocalist. Sharon has no problem holding her own in such great company. |
