HELP WANTED. ARTISTROSTER.COM IS LOOKING FOR AN EMCEE/SPOKESPERSON.
Artist Roster LLC, a music recommendation website and promotion company, is looking for a spokesperson and emcee for our concerts and events. This person should have an interest in the music recommended on artistroster.com as well as an interest in journalism. This person should have a strong desire to be in the spotlight, whether it be in advertisements, online videos and podcatsts, or hosting live events. Think of the hosts on G4's 'Attack Of The Show'. That charisma and attitude is a part of what we're looking for.

To apply for this position, send us an email with your name, phone number, and a video (if possible), to info@artistroster.com. Include a resumé or a quick description of your previous employment and your specific interest in the position. Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity. We are building a brand and this person is a big part of it.

This is a contract position and 100% commission. You must be at least 21 years of age and a current resident of Colorado to apply for this position.

enjoy — Ryan

I Hate My Friends
by Television Keeps Us Apart
Television Keeps Us Apart

This band has been around for a while, but I don't think they've really made much ground in the U.S. They're another awesome band from Sweden and have been compared to Postal Service and Depeche Mode. I don't agree with either comparison, so you tell me who they sound like in the comments area below.

Never Yours
by Low Sea
Low Sea

Low Sea, an Irish duo, make some of the creepier music on the site this week. I have a soft spot in my heart for creepy music. I picked this song because Low Sea knows how to pull it off without sounding cheesy. Never Yours can be found on the latest album from Low Sea called Las Olas (Spanish for waves). As I listen to this track, I can't help but picture what one of their live shows would look like. I'm guessing a bunch of kids with black eye makeup, black clothes, black pointy boots, flailing their skinny, pale arms around trying really hard not to smile because the music is so damn good.

Western Hospitality
by Club 8
Club 8

I first heard Club 8, from Sweden, back in 2003 when a close friend of mine made a mix tape for me with the song This Is The Morning. It's an incredible track from the album, Strangely Beautiful. Then I didn't hear another thing from them until recently. The 7th album from Club 8 is due May 12 and is said to be different and absolutely amazing. It's the first time the pop duo has collaborated with a producer and the choice fell on Jari Haapalainen who to this date has produced the likes of Camera Obscura and The Concretes.

Dreaming
by Soulo
Soulo

This song (Poly Styrene Cover) reminds me of a mix between JJ and Jonsi. It's also a great track to slow down the pace of this-here track list before I blow it back out of the water. Soulo is giving away a couple songs including Dreaming via their website.

Sleep Paralysist
by Neon Indian
Neon Indian

I'm so excited to hear more from Neon Indian so soon after their last release back in October. If you're new to the site, you'll soon find that I'm a big fan of Alan Palomo, brainchild of Neon Indian and Vega. Sleep Paralysist is available for free download from Mountain Dew's Green Label Sound. Some people might even like it more than his previous Neon Indian recordings for the simple fact that you can clearly hear his voice. This track was co produced by Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor over at his label, Terrible.

Sea Change
by Turin Brakes
Turin Brakes

Turin Brakes continually refines their sound since their professional introduction in 2001. This track is expertly produced and performed. I expect a lot of praise heading in the TB direction in the coming months. Critical acclaim isn't new to the group having been nominated for a Mercury prize for their debut album. Outbursts, the latest album from the UK duo takes on a different direction from years past. It's a good thing because they were heading down a path of mediocrity.

She's Devastating
by DiscoTech
DiscoTech

I don't think anyone would accuse me of being narrow minded when it comes to music. It's sad that so many blogs and music websites are worried about losing subscribers if they highlight an artist that doesn't match the genre they specialize in. DiscoTech is one of those artists that aren't typically on ArtistRoster, but this track attracts my attention every time I hear it. You should listen to it with some decent headphones or you won't get it. Think this track is good? Think it's awful? Let me know in the comments section below.
