Lovesick Teenagers
by Bear In Heaven
Bear In Heaven

I'm fortunate to be a new contributor to Reverb, the Denver Post music blog. My first assignment was to photograph the "Cymbals Eat Guitars", "Bear In Heaven" and "Freelance Whales" show. What an incredible night. I was so excited to see "Bear In Heaven" and they didn't disappoint, easily stealing the show. I Was Thinking...
by Gauntlet Hair
Gauntlet Hair

Not a lot is known about this Lafayette Colorado band, except that they played SXSW this year and they're starting to get a lot of buzz from the likes of P4K, Gorilla Vs. Bear, Prefix Mag and others. They've got an "Animal Collective" vocal quality and they don't appear to be afraid of reverb. If you're in the Denver area on April 14, check them out at Larimer Lounge.

Sole Brother
by Born Ruffians
Born Ruffians

"Say It", the highly anticipated follow-up album to the acclaimed 2008 "Red, Yellow and Blue" will be released June 1. In an interview with Kevin from "So Much Silence", Luke LaLonde exclaims, "Our newer songs are going to be more singing and less chanting. I think I hear a lot of bands who are doing the chanty things. And, I don’t know, it’s just something we’ve made a conscious effort and decided on more singing". That quote was, I don't know, super confusing, but you get the point.

No Barrier Fun
by Liars
Liars

"No Barrier Fun" is another excellent track off of "Sisterworld", which released on March 10. Back in December, we recommended "Sister", a track off the album HERE. I really just needed an excuse to post this cool video from "Beck"s side project "Record Club". This time around, he's enlisted Liars, Annie Clark and Daniel Hart from St. Vincent, Sergio Dias from Os Mutantes, as well as RC veteran Brian Lebarton. They'll be covering "INXS" album, "Kick". For more videos and previous projects, check out the "Record Club" HERE.

Simple Graces
by Delorean
Delorean

Delorean is a four-piece from Spain. Over the last couple of weeks, a massive influx of hype has accumulated around the band, and for good reason. "Sebiza", the first full-length from the group will release in physical form on June 8th. The repetitive loops and "Beach Boy" harmonies are similar to "Animal Collective", but I don't get that "wanna put a knife through my skull if I have to hear them repeat the same line one more time" feeling. The tunes are easy to listen to and get me in the mood for summer.

Blue
by We Are Wolves
We Are Wolves

Imagine if "Black Sabbath" formed in this century. I can only assume they would sound a lot like "We Are Wolves". What's funny is they will embark on a tour this spring with "Wolf Parade" who expect to have an album ready by then. I wish I could design the posters for the tour. It would be epic. EPIC!!!

Back To Back
by Wolf Gang
Wolf Gang

Oh, wouldn't it be awesome if "Wolf Gang" went on tour with "We Are Wolves" and "Wolf Parade"? The wolf trifecta would be complete. Please someone forward this info on to the right people, because I really want this tour to happen. Tangent, sorry back to "Back To Back" by "Wolf Gang". The production is really clean. I can hear each instrument adding to the composition and the vocal harmonies are flawless. "Wolf Gang" would easily stand on their own if they were to join my imaginary "Howl At The Moon" spring tour.
