Mouthful Of Diamonds
by Phantogram
Phantogram

If you missed Phantogram at Larimer Lounge last week, I hope for your sake they come back to Denver soon because the show was awesome. Not only is Sarah Barthel easy to look at, but her voice is mesmerizing. You would never know that Eyelid Movies is the duos debut album, considering how much thought and quality production went into each track on the album. If you haven't purchased the entire album yet, I highly recommend you do so. Photos from the show can be found HERE.

My House
by Ganglians
Ganglians

Enjoy a leaked demo off the groups forthcoming LP. The track is a lot cleaner from previous recordings, but still drenched in reverb and creativity. I really enjoy how they've chosen chords that don't quite sound right. Know what I mean? They're in the midst of a lengthy European tour at the moment, so I wouldn't expect the new LP to drop any sooner than July. Ganglians were previously recommended HERE.

Is This On Me?
by Elite Gymnastics
Elite Gymnastics

I couldn't find any pertinent information about Elite Gymnastics except that the group (could be one person for all I know) is from Minneapolis. "Is This On Me?" has definitely got some moments of cheese, like the chipmunks voices towards the end, but in general this track is top notch. A number of tracks from Elite Gymnastics are available for free via Psychedelic Surf Club.

Tremel
by Glasser
Glasser

Tremel is an old track from Cameron Mesirow, but it's recently been remixed by the likes of Jamie XX, Romantic Three and Astronomer. I personally enjoy the original version. This track along with the remixes are available everywhere including iTunes.

Renaissance
by Allure
Allure

This track is deceptive. Just when you think you've cornered it into a genre, he throws in another instrument that makes you reconsider. Allure, a French "electro-pop" producer knows how to layer a ton of sounds without making them compete with each other. As you listen to the song, it's interesting to hear how the styles intermingle with each other, fading in and out and back in again.

Gold Skull
by Miniature Tigers
Miniature Tigers

Gold Skull was produced by Alan Palomo of Neon Indian. I promise I didn't know this little tidbit of information until after I started doing the research. In fact, we recommended Miniature Tigers last year. I'm not sure what that proves, except that the track is good without the hype of Palomo attached to it. Gold Skull has a poppy/electronic feel that wasn't as noticeable in their previous album. It makes me wonder what the rest of the album will sound like. Miniature Tigers can be somewhat hit and miss with me, so I hope the rest of the album can hold up to Gold Skull.

Misinterpret My Words
by His Clancyness
His Clancyness

Jonathan Clancy, AKA His Clancyness sings with an unmistakable sincerity. He not only sings, but performs all of the instruments on the album. Always Mist is yet another limited cassette release that is probably already sold out. You can try to pick up a copy over at Mirror Universe Tapes.

Jacob
by Valley Maker
Valley Maker

As part of a senior thesis, Columbia resident Austin Crane, decided to make an entire album based off of the biblical book of Genesis. Austin Crane is a name I hope I'll be hearing a lot more of. This album is a treasure; something that should be listened-to with few distractions allowing the subtle nuances to be truly appreciated. The songs are available for a price of your choosing HERE.

Far Away
by Junip
Junip

We posted about the new Junip album last month HERE. If you read that post, you'll understand my excitement when we received the "Rope And Summit" EP. If you enjoy a particular band, I would recommend that you sign up for their mailing list. Bands tend to offer free downloads and exclusive material via these lists like Junip did yesterday.

The full-length album will release in September (not June like we previously stated).

I'm Not Going Anywhere
by Nika & Rory
Nika & Rory

I couldn't wait for Wednesday to come so I could share this amazing track with all of you. Nika + Rory is goth-pop mastermind Nika Roza Danilova, better known as Zola Jesus, and her touring band mate Nick Turco. "I'm Not Going Anywhere" is an anthem, something to dance to, a track to fall in love to, an 80's movie written around. I dare you not to like it.

Sweatmother
by Tobacco
Tobacco

I was turned on to Tobacco last year when I heard the Remix he did of Health's Die Slow. Since then I hadn't heard much about him. Turns out Tobacco is the founding father of "Black Moth Super Rainbow". He started performing as "Allegheny White Fish", a name he picked in 10th grade, then changing to "satanstompingcaterpillars", and eventually landing on "Black Moth Super Rainbow". Sweatmother takes me back to the days of Skinny Puppy and Ministry. Their style has been reanimated and given new life with this track. It's a foot stomper.

A Piece Of String (Radio Edit)
by Clock Opera
Clock Opera

Clock Opera is Guy Connelly, a man who's as much a technician as he is a musician. He's best known for his recent remixes of Marina and Golden Filter. I'm always delighted when bands mess with our heads. Try counting out this track. Bonus points if you can tell me what time signature it's written in. Download it for free HERE.

Heat & Hot Water
by ARMS
ARMS

ARMS is the brainchild of former "Harlem Shakes" guitarist, Todd Goldstein. "Harlem Shakes and ARMS have always existed on two different poles. The Shakes was a carefully formulated group collaboration, where everyone's voice had to be heard and every detail had to be fought over and decided upon until it was perfect. ARMS was all me, working alone in my bedroom and doing all that agonizing over songs by myself."

Open Eyes
by Sleepy Sun
Sleepy Sun

Sleepy Sun creates some of the best psychedelic rock currently out there. The California group has elaborated on their 2009 debut "Embrace" with their latest hazy release " Fever". Open Eyes is a track that would appeal to people who like Led Zeppelin, Black Keys, and even Black Moth Super Rainbow. I enjoy the natural feeling progressions throughout the recording. It's nice to hear artists who obviously enjoy 60's rock without just imitating what's already been done. Sleepy Sun manages to do that.
