To add to the awesomeness that is Ty Segall, we're posting another track to last week's post. "Finger", creeps it's way into your speakers like an itch. But then that itch becomes a rash, the rash begins to spread, at which point you realize you might need some antibiotics. This crusty, fuzzed-out track starts out almost sweet, gradually making you feel dirty by the end. Ty Segall will be at Hi Dive in Denver on August 19.

Cool Jumper actually came out late last year. It slipped through my radar, what can I say? This track features Nathan Williams and Hella drummer, Zach Hill (new addition to the one-man-band) who is the man behind the additional electronics and percussion. The single can be found all over the internet for free. The band's next album titled "King Of The Beach" will be released on 8/3 via Fat Possum.

"I'm a singer (Haters)" is another killer track from M.I.A's forthcoming album, /\/\/\Y/\ out on July 13. This is the first track to feature M.I.A.'s voice. I'm surprised to hear these tracks coming from this artist. Many artists that have an award-winning debut album have a career long battle trying to obtain that same energy. M.I.A. is demonstrating the opposite with /\/\/\Y/\. The three tracks I've heard so far make me very excited to hear more. Take the time to watch the Nylon interview to the right of this post. What a name. They're from Seattle which explains the St. Helens reference, but I'm at loss when it comes to the Vietnam Band part. Musical atmosphere seems to be the calling card of this offering from their upcoming release "Where the Messengers Meet".
