Hey people,

White Rabbits put on a great live show. They recently played at Larimer Lounge, a small venue here in Denver. It's cool that such amazing acts are booked at these small venues (+/- 200 people). Neon Indian, The Big Pink, Dutchess And The Duke and Electric Six are all playing there in the coming months. It's great for the fans because you can get right up to the stage. Now if we can get some good sound and lighting in there, we'll be in great shape. Additional photos from the White Rabbits show are on the ArtistRoster Flickr Page.

I really enjoy White Rabbits, but if I had to pick a couple songs it would be Percussion Gun and The Plot (off their 2007 album, Fort Nightly).

Hearing Damage by Thom Yorke

Radiohead front man Thom Yorke lays a track for the New Moon soundtrack. I hate to say it, but the Death Cab for Cutie song, Meet Me On the Equinox is pretty good too. Look for Death Cab to perform soon at your local Hot Topic.

No, I'm not joking.

Ambling Alp by Yeasayer

Ambling Alp is the first single off Odd Blood, Yeasayer's sophomore album due 2/9. I read a comment on Stereogum's site stating, "How long do we have to wait for the Michael McDonald version?". That's funny

Swim (To Reach The End) by Surfer Blood

Floating Vibes by Surfer Blood

Take It Easy by Surfer Blood

Surfer Blood PREORDER | Insound

These guys blew up this year's CMJ in New York, performing a total of 10 times. Judging from the onslaught of positive press, It worked. They have a familiar sound, but put enough originality on the table to make it unique. They will be performing with Art Brut throughout the country and at the Bluebird here in Denver this Thursday.

Side note - the band doesn't surf.

Semi-Automatic by The Boxer Rebellion

Sometimes music slips right through your fingers. I recently heard The Boxer Rebellion on my favorite satellite station and immediately had to look them up. Turns out Union was released in January 2009. iTunes even offered one of the tracks as a Free Single of the Week. From user comments on iTunes, they're considered mainstream alternative. Are they on the radio? Am I the only one who hasn't heard of them? Either way, The Boxer Rebellion is well worth looking in to. Semi Automatic is a winner.

Away From You by Oberhofer

Oberhofer Brad Oberhofer from Tacoma Washington, is currently an unsigned artist. Musically, he's doing some really unique things. I expect him to get picked up rather quickly. If you go to his MySpace page and message him, he may just send you some free tracks.

Reborn As A Wind Chime by Silent Paper Radios

Silent Paper RadiosDan Gubbins found us on MySpace and I'm glad he did. His current tracks were recorded on an MP3 recorder and transferred on to a laptop. A former DJ of Electronica, Soul, Funk and Hip Hop, he branched out into "Weird Folk" (his words, not mine). I'd like to hear his tracks professionally produced, but the tracks are quite good as is. I enjoyed the track, Reborn As A Wind Chime. He too will send you tracks if you ask nicely. Just go to his MySpace page, become friends and message him.
